Samuel McGann

In this series Samuel uses poses which he “collects” from life drawing classes then poses the naive versions of his drawings in compositions which explore the idea of nakedness and fragility. Although unclothed Samuel tries not to depict images which are overtly sexual. Samuel is interested in the relationship between the gaze of the viewer and how they might recognise their own vulnerability through viewing the work.
